As COVID-19 has spread through our community, it is no longer feasible or realistic for us to have our event in-person. That being said, we realize that dance is a way for many of us to express ourselves and escape the everyday stresses of life. In an effort to provide teams with a safe opportunity to showcase their talent, our board has put together a plan for a completely virtual BMXIV weekend. Buckeye Mela XIV will now take place on March 27th 2021, from wherever you choose to join! A more detailed version of our plan can be found on the PDF linked below. We would like to note that these guidelines have been set to comply with current CDC regulations and our prediction of what the situation may be like in March 2021. We do not want to encourage unsafe behaviors that go out of the regulations set by the CDC and your local areas. We have created these guidelines for teams who may be utilizing zoom or other online platforms for practices. If conditions are to worsen and teams unable to safely shoot their performance videos in the spring, then we as Mela Board will unfortunately be faced with cancelling this virtual event. While we may not be having an in-person event, our board looks forward to continuing our philanthropy by working with different charities and causes throughout the year. This plan is subject to change as the situation around us evolves. We will continue to provide updates to our community and appreciate any feedback you all may have!
